I recommend patronizing this authentic tamale business anytime!!! The masa was savory and not oily or greasy. My favorite- the chile and cheese... and also don't forget the pork tamales!!! Make sure you bring extra home because they will be gobbled up quickly!!!

Original Tamale use to be Me Gusta Tamales but thank goodness little has changed beside the name. The tamales I purchased from them two days ago are still the moist, flavorful, top tier tamales I have come to enjoy for the last 4 years. The hard working staff is kind, well organized, and efficient in filling orders. I know there are many equally good tamale store fronts through out LA, each with their legion of devoted customers. For me The Original Tamale is the place. They are consistently great, take pride in what they do, and make me smile every Christmas holiday, I am grateful and appreciative of their work, as well as that of all the tamaleras and tamaleros who keep our cultural tradition alive. Very good service, well organized to come and pick up. We ordered then uncooked to have them warm on Xmas Eve. Excited to try the new Guava ones!

C'est bon Mui bueno They did not have hot chicken at farmers market los Al last Saturday as they ran out. Maybe next go round (when we get there round 11:30/12 noon) they will have some hot chicken tam Please bring more ready to eat (hot ckn tam) por favor:)
Found them at the Monrovia Farmers market on Friday and the tamales were delicious. Totally fresh and the meat content was juicy. Super moist tamale and nothing was dry. For $5 it's a bit on the pricey side but quality hits!
We get tamales here every year and they never disappoint! I usually order their red pork, green pork, beef, cheese and chili, Elote, and chicken and everything is delicious. Next time you're in the area, stop by!
